As a Music School

1995

- Supervoice started as a Music School and had it's first studio at Bowlodrome, Paco Manila. Here we offered Voice lessons on one on one and class basis.

 

 

1996

- Soon we moved our studio to Cisne St, Paco Manila

- We had our first major concert featuring our students at Pus XII Auditorium entitled "IT'S ABOUT TIME"

- We had our December recital entitled TNT (Talent Night Tonight) at Saint Joseph School in Pandacan

 

1997

- This year we moved to Merced St, Paco Manila

- We Had our second major concert entitled "BEYOND ALL LIMITS" at Pius XII Auditorium also. From this batch came Sophia Montecarlo (Born Diva Finalist), Erika Navas (Now a talent of Channel 13), Cyrus Lagman (Now a pop star in China)

- This was the year, Sheila Gamo was trained under Mr. Henry Tejero in the production "Sto Cristo del Tesoro"

- We had our December recital entitled TNT (Talent Night Tonight) at Max's Ermita

 

1998

- This year, I (Sheila Gamo) became part of another production by Ms. Vella Damian entitled "Ang mga Watawat ni Belay"

- This year we had our recital at Bungalow restaurant. From this batch came Mara Schintka of Going Bulilit.

 

1999

- This year I (Sheila Gamo) became part of the Production "God the Father" at Sta Isabel College, Auditorium

- This was the year when I (Sheila Gamo) first got involved with the Philippine Institute for the deaf with the production "The King & Me" Where I plaed the role of teacher Anna.

- This was also the year i got involved with Gantimpala Theater foundation as the Narrator for "Bakit Babae ang Naghuhugas ng Pinggan"

 

2000

- this year I met Ms Celeste Legaspi. This gave for me being part of her productions "Musicat in revue"  "Fire Water Woman"   "Sino Ka Ba Jose Rizal"  "Alikabok"  "Musicat Tribute" and many more.

- This year too I worked for Tanghalang Pilipino doing "Ilustrado"

- I started working for "Batibot" too as a TV host named Ate Cel. I did tapings for "Koko Kwik Kwak" and dubbed the voice of Alibangbang.

- Supervoice classes were minimized to a one on one basis due to my hectic schedule

 

2001

- I started working for the Walt Disney Channel as a storyteller in a mall tour for Robinsons malls. I also dubbed the voice of "Kim Possible" for commercials.

- This year, I had a lot of tapings for several shows for Channel 2 and 7 along side with my plays so Supervoice operations stopped for a few months.

As a Theater Foundation

2002

 

 

 

 

Supervoice began with the production of HESUS NA BUHAY, with a cast of college students from Concordia College.  The show was performed for free at the backstage of TANGHALANG STA ANA and the Recital Hall of Sta Isabel College.

 

During this time, I was working for Trumpets in the production "THE LION THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE"

  

In the same year, Supervoice accepted scholars in Musical Theater from a group of out-of-school youth (ranging from 15 – 19 yo) under the Louisse de Marillac Foundation.  They were able to perform the play WINDANG in October 2002 at Concordia College & PABAON in December 2002 at Celednonio Elementary school.

 

 

 

 

 

2003

 

 

-          HESUS NA BUHAY  was re-staged at the Pius XII Auditorium and Concordia College auditorium for viewing of the Daughters of Charity.

 

 

 

-          Supervoice joined ALYANSA INC. where they go to perform the play ANG BAGONG MUNDO NI ALADDIN at the Folk Arts Center and other communities of District 6. This is in collaboration with TANGHALANG STA ANA (Commnity Theater Group) and TEATRO MARIANO MARCOS (High School Theater Group of MARIANO MACOS HS.).

 

-          This year we tied up with Concordia’s Non-Formal Education Dept. In giving free Musical Theater Workshops to their scholars. We also tied up with De la Salle College of St Benilde in giving them free computer seminars.

 

- Our recital for summer workshops was held at the Tanghalang Sta Ana

 

-          In November 2003, Supervoice performs their first Original English Musical entitled “ALL THAT I’LL EVER NEED” which they offered for college students.

 

 

2004

 

 

-          HESUS NA BUHAY was re-staged for the Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Sta Mesa Manila where some Sakristans and Parishioners were also casted.

 

-          Supervoice ties up with A.S.A.P. (Ang Samahan ng Artistang Paconian) of Paco Catholic School in putting up the production “THE SOUND OF MUSIC” for the High Scool Department.

 

-          In this year, Supervoice performed WINDANG at The Concert At the Park in Luneta.

 

 

-          This year too, Supervoice helped with the presentation of H.I. ANNIE of the Philippine Institute for the Deaf

 

 

-          In July 2004, Supervoice ties up with ABS-CBN Bantay Bata 163 as workshop facilitator for their children aged (7 – 16 yo).  Their first recital was TUBIG.

 

 

-          In Aug 2004, Supervoice opens another original musical entitled “AGAW BUHAY” for elementary and High school audiences teaching the importance of segregation & recycling.

 

 

-          In December 2004, Supervoice performs at the World Trade Center for the very first time with the presentation “SUPERVOICE COMES TO TOWN”

 

 

2005

 

 

 

-          HESUS NA BUHAY was re-staged for the HOLY CHILD PARISH in Pandacan where members of their Youth Ministry (Teens) joined the production. This also began the tradition of the Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday Street Dance performances in Pandacan for the Philippine Independent Church.  Also, during the summer of 2005, Supervoice conducted workshops for the same church and performed their original “SUWAIL” for the teens of that church.

 

 

-          In this year, Supervoice helped in training and putting together the group TEATRO FILIPINO in Makati High School. In February, they performed their first production entitled KWENTONG BAYAN.

 

 

-           Also in February 2005, Supervoice performs RIZAL BEHIND BARS for the very first time.

 

-         

 

-          March 2005, Supervoice performs again for the Benefit of the Philippine Institute for the Deaf at the RCBC plaza

 

 

-          In August 2005, Supervoice helped stage Sta Isabel Colleges “EXCERPTS FROM MUSICALS” featuring the students and teachers of the school.

 

 

-          MALI SYA was first staged in November 2005.

 

-          “OVER THE HORIZON” was the title of this year’s summer workshop recital featuring our original play “BATANG MATAPAT”

 

2006

 

  

 

-          Supervoice was awarded as an Outstanding Youth Organization in Manila by Mayor Atienza under the Alliance of Manila Youth Organization and the Youth Development and Welfare Bureau.

 

-          Sheila Lopez Gamo was also awarded this year as an Outstanding Alumna of Sta Isabel College for Maintaining a Pool of Scholars.

 

-          In 2006, Supervoice showcases its specialization in Dance as they staged “SUPERVOICE DANCE IN REVUE” for the viewing of High Schools and Colleges as activity to support their P.E. Classes.

 

 

-          A re-stage of ANNIE was also done for Bantay Bata 163 showcasing the talents of the children and teens in the Foundation.

 

-          In August 2006, Supervoice stages ALADDIN for Paco Catholic School, showcasing the graduates of the Performing Arts Center of the School

 

 

-          This was the year Supervoice produced FLORANTE AT LAURA the Musical for Makati High School’s Teatro Filipino

 

-          In 2006, we were also a regular guest at RJ TV’s gimme a break, showing excerpts of our plays

 

-          We had Hesus na Buhay at Sto De Pandacan Parish in Pandacan.

 

-          In December 2006, Supervoice performs ALADDIN’s Christmas Wish at the World Bazaare Festival at the World Trade Center.

 

-          SUPERVOICE NOW, SUPERSTARS TOMORROW featuring an adaptation of “ANNIE” the musical was the theme of this year’s summer workshops recital.

 

2007

 

 

-          at the beginning of the year, Supervoice stages the play “OUR LADY OF CANDELARIA” to celebrate the feast day of the Patron Saint of Paco Catholic School. This was performed in by the SCA High School Choir, Teachers and Grade School students.

 

 

-          The children of Bantay Bata perform at ABS-CBN Studio 1 for the first time with “ALADDIN”

 

-          Supervoice helps stage the production of “GODSPELL” in Sta Isabel College, performed in by the Music Department students and teachers.

 

 

-          Supervoice stages “THUMBELINA” at the RCBC plaza for the benefit of the Philippine Institute for the Deaf.  This was performed in by the deaf students themselves (from grade school to high school).

 

 

-          HESUS NA BUHAY is re-staged and brought to the streets of Caloocan.

 

 

-          ALADDIN’S SUMMER CARPET RIDE was the theme of this year’s Summer Workshops Recital held at the Pius XII Auditorium.

 

 

-          An adaptation of HESUS NA BUHAY for the celebration of the San Fernando de Dilao Parish was done this year.  The show is entitled “SANTO SEPULCRO”

 

 

 

-          Bantay Bata 163 Teens performed Two plays this year at Studio1 of ABS-CBN under Supervoice workshops, “Aladdin” and “Thumbelina” in two different occasions.

 

 

-          This year another Foundation from ABS-CBN took as in as their workshop Facilitator for their beneficiaries. 71 Dreams foundation had their recital with “Thumbelina” at Studio 1 also.

 

   

 

 

-          This was also the year we served SM Storyland with our Kiddie Shows, which gave way to our Birthday shows as well. We performed Thumbelina in September, Aladdin & Little Mermaid in October and The Tale of Jack O’ Lantern in November.

 

-          This year we got to re-stage our orginals RIZAL BEHIND BARS, ALL THAT I’LL EVER NEED and MALI SYA , with an all new batch of scholars / artists.

2008
